1. Privacy at a glance
The calculator processes your input (state, project, dimensions) only locally in your browser. No advertising trackers, external fonts, CDNs or third-party embeds are loaded. A consent banner is therefore not needed.

3. Hosting (Hetzner) and server logs
This website is operated on a dedicated server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, no transfer to third countries). The server does not log ordinary page views. Only requests to typical attack paths (for example login pages of other systems, hidden files) are recorded for defence, with a shortened IP address (IPv4 without the last byte, IPv6 truncated to /48), and deleted after 14 days (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Calculator, share link and local storage
When you choose a state, your browser loads that state’s legal data as a file from our own server (a request as described in section 3). Your dimensions never leave the browser. The state of your input is kept in the address bar so that you can share the link; whoever opens the link sees this input. We store your choice of appearance (light, dark, automatic) in your browser’s localStorage. We do not set cookies.
5. Embedded calculators on other websites
Operators of other websites may embed the calculator in an iframe (address under /en/embed-view/). If you open such a page, your browser loads the calculator directly from our server; the access data from section 3 is processed (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Embedded calculators do no audience measurement and set no cookies. The operator of the embedding website is responsible for that website.
6. Anonymous audience measurement (Matomo without cookies)
On this website we use a self-hosted instance of Matomo on our own server in Germany for anonymous statistics: without cookies, with a shortened IP address, respecting “Do Not Track” and without passing data to third parties (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this at any time:

7. Links to official sources
Links to the legal portals of the states open in a new tab. Your browser only connects to such a portal when you click the link; its own privacy policy applies there.
8. Your rights
You have the right at any time to free information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data, to rectification, restriction or erasure, and to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
